Patricia 's Story
I really have enjoyed 'catching up' with all of your personal stories, so I guess I'll add mine.
I started going to Chimacum in 4th grade (moving from CA) and was a bit 'shell shocked' at the small town atmosphere - But quickly grew to love it and call it home.
Many fav. memories include walking the logs in Hadlock (from the mill) with Beth K. and Billy M. Slumber parties w/Kris Heassler,Cricket Olson, Debbie Peak, Janet s,Beth Kilmer, Laura Crisman,Michelle Seeley.... living next door to Peggy and Julie Morgan, my older brother Pauls friends hanging out at our home (John Merril-Ray Am.-Dave Bates-the Rowe brothers-Gordy Yancy) my first kiss (I'm not telling...), Renfro(?) drive inn, walking and hanging out at the beach, Ferry transportation, Prom with Jim Prince and Barry Brown. and heartbreaks (I still cry easily). Walking - walking - walking...all over Chimacum with friends.
I really miss the beauty of the Puget Sound and would consider moving back...even if it very different than the 60s and 70s.
I have experienced a lot of sadness since those days - but my life is now truly blessed.
I have lived in CA,WA,OR and now Chandler Arizona and have concluded I am a bit of a Nomad!!
Our family is mixed (his-hers-ours) but we consider ourselves 'JUST FAMILY' - My husband Randy and our five kids keep it shakin' daily...and I wouldn't have it any other way!!
Amongst a variety of work I have been an "Estate Handler' for years (I close out homes and handle the Estate Sale) -and really enjoy it.
